Joyce Elaine Amdahl Fliehler, 70, of Amarillo, died Aug. 16, 2014.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Luke Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Wallace, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Fliehler was born June 19, 1944, in Estherville, Iowa, to Hattie and Gilbert Amdahl. She married Karl Frederick Fliehler on Dec. 5, 1965, in Estherville. She moved to Amarillo in 2004. She was involved with Girl Scouts in her youth and numerous Bible studies and committees at her church. Mrs. Fliehler was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church. She dedicated her life to her family as a wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Arlene JoAnn Amdahl.
Survivors include her husband, Karl Fliehler; a daughter, Karla Ross and husband Glenn of Canyon; a son, Jarrett Fliehler and wife Alma of Natick, Mass.; three brothers, Gilbert Amdahl and wife Bonnie, and Willis Amdahl, all of Estherville, and Larry Amdahl of Austin, Minn.; a sister, Donna Hoffmeyer and husband, Don of Estherville; two granddaughters, Tori Ross and Molly Ross; and two grandsons, Matthew Fliehler and Mariano Fliehler.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home
The family suggests memorials be to St. Luke Presbyterian Church, 3001 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79106; or American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
