"Marvin c. Ostrem, 89, Route 3, Ottawa, died Saturday morning, Feb. 25, in Wedron." "Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gladfelter Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Olson of Freedom Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today." "Mr. Ostrem was born Sept. 3, 1899, in Freedom Township, to Martin and Christine (Johnson) Ostrem. He married Edith Louise Godemann on March 7, 1929, and she died June 16, 1941. He later married Florence DeBolt on March 21, 1947, and she died Dec. 26, 1979. He was a farmer his entire life, a member of Freedom Lutheran Church and a 50-year member of Waltham and Utica A.F. and A.M. No. 384." "He is survived by four stepsons, Stanley Twait of Ottawa, Roderick Twait and Joseph Erickson, both of Sheridan, and Harry Erickson of Leland; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ted (Marilyn) Larson of Rowlee, N.C., and Rita Broadus of Wedron; two sisters, Mrs. James (Alma) Woods and Mrs. Wright (Vilda) Rasmusson, both of Ottawa; 18 grandchildren and several great-and great-great-grandchildren." "He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Olga) McLaklan and Mrs. Maynard (Esther) Thorsen." "Pallbearers will be grandsons, Larry and Randy Broadus, Craig and Mike Twait, Richard Miller, Harry, Jr., Bruce and Brad Erickson." "Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice."
